Mark Horan - Currently NOT taking Clients

Mark Horan, LCMHC, LCPC, NCC is the co-founder of Mount Washington Valley Psychological Services. Mark has been practicing in the valley for the past twenty-five years. He holds licenses in both New Hampshire and Maine, as well as being a National Certified Counselor. He holds a BA from Rutgers University, an MA from New York University, and an MSC from the University of Southern Maine. In addition to his counseling practice, Mark has been an adjunct faculty member at Antioch, New England University, Southern New Hampshire University, and Plymouth State University. Mark primarily works with teens, adults, and couples.

William “Greg” Hyde, LMFT - Currently NOT taking Clients

Greg has been working in the mental health field for over 30 years. Prior to joining the private practice at MWVPS he worked at Northern Human Services where he headed the children’s program and worked as coordinator and therapist for children and families. He has also worked in the valley as an adjunct professor at Granite State College teaching psychology and human development classes. He holds a BA degree in psychology from The University of New Hampshire and a MA degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University. Greg has extensive experience as a field supervisor for active students and candidates for licensure in the  state of NH. He has been working as a licensed therapist in NH since early 2007. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Greg works largely from as systemic model in his current work with families, couples, individual adults and children. He utilizes several approaches in his work including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Contextual therapy, Structural therapy and Emotionally Focused therapy. Along with his sidekick/therapy dog, Greg specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, relational issues, adjustment disorders, OCD, chronic illness and pain and attachment disorders.

Jennifer McCarthy, LICSW - Currently NOT taking Clients

Jennifer McCarthy, LICSW is a licensed, independent clinical social worker with 22 years of experience working directly with youth and adults in an outpatient setting.  She incorporates a variety of evidenced based interventions, including Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,  and  Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Jennifer earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of New Hampshire in 1998 and a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Social work from Anna Maria College in 1994.  She is licensed in both New Hampshire and Maine.

Shawnna Lewis, MSW,  LICSW - Currently NOT taking Clients

Shawnna Lewis is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social worker who joined MWV Psychological Services in July 2011.  She received her Master's Degree from the University of New Hampshire in 2002. Shawnna previously worked for 9 years in a community mental health setting with children, adolescents, and families. Shawnna’s therapeutic approach includes an eclectic collaboration of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavior therapy, Solution Focused therapy, Emotion Focused therapy and Structural therapy. Shawnna provides individual, family and couples therapy and works with children, adolescents and adults seeking help with adjustment issues, family conflict, parenting struggles, trauma, attachment issues, mood deregulation, depression and anxiety.

Christopher Wong, MSEd, CMHC (he/him/his) - Currently NOT taking Clients

Chris studied at Antioch Univeristy and recieved his Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.  Previously, Chris was a Spanish and German teacher at Kennett High School for 15 years.  Chris's therapeutic approach is based on a strengths-based client-centered approach that is informed by Person-Centered Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Systemic therapy, and Mindfulness.  Chris can provide individual and family and couples therapy, specializing with adolescents and works with children (10 years and older) and adults.  He works with those who want help with trauma, depression and anxiety, adjustment and attachment issues, and family and parenting issues.

Sarah Ashley Davis- Taking Medicaid Clients Only- Currently NOT taking Clients

Sarah Davis is a clinical mental health counselor who obtained her degree from Southern New Hampshire University. Sarah primarily works with children 8 years and older, adolescents, as well as adults. Sarah provides individual and family counseling. Sarah’s therapeutic approach with children integrates play therapy and works to strengthen the family system and the relationship process. Sarah uses an assimilative therapeutic approach in counseling when working with adolescents and adults to meet their needs and goals while incorporating their strengths and cultural backgrounds.
